I love exploring new cities, visiting local iced tea shops (aka ‘coffee houses’), and walking around grocery stores I’ve never heard of. Last week I found Frazier Farms Market, and what a great find it was! With two locations in North County San Diego (Vista & Oceanside), stop in on your next drive ‘in the neighborhood’.
Enjoy my photo story of gluten-free finds in the store. Hoping it inspires you to pop into a ‘new-to-you’ store one day, and discover some great treasures of your own (please share!).
Frazier Farms stocks so many fantastic gluten-free items and brands. Walking into the front door, near the sandwich shop, is a large end-cap full of gluten-free goodies. I taste-tested an Antonina’s Artisan Bakery Banana Chocolate Chip Mini Cupcake (shown middle shelf on the right), and it’s pretty tasty! It’s a cute, small 3-pack dessert to take on-the-go to a park, the beach, etc. They’re made in a dedicated, certified gluten-free bakery also offering a selection of cookies and loaves.
Speaking of cookies, I’m thrilled to find Glutenetto’s gluten-free italian cookies here. This assortment is perfect. All the cookies are fresh, flavorful, and a fun pack to share at your next luncheon or get-together. I’m a huge fan of Glutenetto’s! (Hint to family & friends ;o)).
A fresh sushi assortment is displayed in an open cooler next to the deli counter, where sushi chefs keep the selection full during lunch and dinner hours. One of my favs is the Vegetable Spring Roll.
Step right up to the sandwich bar, fill out your sandwich desirables, add your name to the form top, and 5-15 minutes later it will be bagged and waiting for you on the deli counter.
Today I tried the Spring Chicken (but, of course!) on fresh, Frazier Farm’s gluten-free bread. Lovely! This tasty sandwich consisted of: hot chicken breast, provolone, works, sprouts, avocado, italian dressing, toasted on a panini press.
Once home, I paired my Frazier Farms gluten-free warm Spring Chicken panini with Milton’s Sea Salt Baked Chips, a few strawberries, and some freshly brewed tropical passion iced tea. Yum! I’m also very impressed with the price – a few dollars less than other deli’s, and the gluten-free bread slices were a little bit larger, too. Opa!
Frazier Farms’ produce apprears very colorful and fresh. On my next trip I plan to stock up on some fruits and veggies from here. I’m very pleased with this store find!
How exciting to indulge in dumplings and egg rolls once again! I’ve been searching for this brand, and voila, seek and ye shall find! Feel Good Foods ~ Don’t Worry, Eat Happy ~ are sold nationwide (Frazier Farms, Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, HyVee, Raley’s, Wegmans, Big Y) and taste so good. They’re non-GMO, gluten-free, and so appreciated by Gluten-free with Wendi E. ;o). Their website contains recipes, store locators, video, and a blog.
All in all, a complete score on finding new foods to try, a great selection of gluten-free staple goods, a very nicely priced deli with numerous sandwiches to create and taste-test, and very friendly people working in the store.
Frazier Farms put together a gluten-free guide to assist with your shopping, outlining brands they carry as: GF=Gluten Free, WF=Wheat Free, O=Organic, DF=Dairy Free, V=Vegan.
Thanks for your gluten-free selection, Frazier Farms. I’ll be back!
