If you’re looking for a delicious, easily made dessert without spending a lot of time in a hot kitchen, consider making a gluten-free banana cream pie. I’ve started making it for birthday’s, and it’s always been a huge success (a-la no leftovers).
Banana Cream Pie Ingredients:
- 1 small package Jell-0 Banana Cream Cook & Serve Pudding (not instant!)
- 2 cups milk
- 3-5 ripe bananas
- 1 Mi-Del Graham Style gluten-free pie crust
- 2 cups whipping cream of choice
Cut your bananas into small thin slices. Arrange the slices along bottom of the gluten-free Mi-Del Graham Style pie crust. Set aside.
Prepare the Jell-o Banana Cream Cook & Serve Pudding per directions on package. When pudding is almost thickened, add the remaining banana slices while stirring constantly on the stove. (I usually use 3 or 4 bananas, but depending on my ‘banana mood’ I might add a 5th).
Remove from heat, cool 2-3 minutes, and pour the banana pudding mixture into the Mi-Del Graham Style Gluten-free pie crust. Place the plastic pie cover upside down to cover the pudding and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Top your delicious gluten-free banana cream pie with Cool Whip or any gluten-free whipped topping of your choice, and voila! Keep refrigerated until serving.
Makes approx. 6 slices.
So good!
