Love Your Food Everyday.
Their motto – Eat good. Feel good. Do Good.
Lyfe Kitchen opened in Culver City, CA a few years ago, and was an immediate welcomed addition to my ‘to try’ list. They support local farms and promote sustainability with their food choices, menu preparation, and have many great-tasting choices on each of their three menus. Chef Art Smith and Chef Tal Ronnen have created an interesting, tasty assortment of options.
The first menu is ‘E’ for ‘I Eat Everything’. As the name says, anything in the restaurant is fair game to try. The second menu is ‘V’ for ‘Vegan & Vegetarian’, where people can enjoy plant powered choices. My favorite menu, of course, is the ‘G’ for ‘Gluten Free – Good For Me’ menu.
So many choices to peruse including smoothies, breakfast entrees, salads, flatbreads, sandwiches, burgers, entrees and desserts. I tried their gluten-free Chicken Sandwich prepared with roasted tomatoes, avocado, organic romaine, red onions, and herbaceous aioli on a gluten-free bun, with a side of kale and carrot salad. I am a picky eater, and haven’t yet acquired the taste for kale, however I will try most things at least once. This kale and carrot salad was delic! It opened my eyes to trying other kale variations in cooking. Oh, and the sweet potato fries – yum!
The inside seating is completely spacious – it reminds me of a very casual coffee shop with some booths, some chairs/tables, high-tops… it doesn’t look large from the outside, but once you start investigating inward you can see how far back the building goes. A few garden pieces don the outside of the restaurant, nestled on their open patio which looks onto the hustle of downtown Culver City.
With so many menu options, I’ll need to return to taste some more. The Roasted Loch Duart Salmon and Art’s Grilled Chicken are kinda calling my name.

OMG, I am so freaking proud of you!!!! This is awesome! I am so happy you are doing this. My kids have a friend that is allergic to gluten and it’s such a pain to try to find places to take the poor guy. With your site I can totally plan the day around these lunch places. Love it! Thanks!!!
